NanoMPI to discuss ultra-dispersed diamonds at Engine Expo 2014

Nano Materials and Processes, Inc. will present at Engine Expo 2014, at the Suburban Collection Showplace, Novi, Michigan, on Thursday, October 30, 2014 at 10:00 AM.

Our presentation will discuss the application of ultra-dispersed diamonds for automotive and industrial applications. Ultra-dispersed diamonds have unique properties that can be exploited in unexpected ways. We shall begin with the material itself and present applications in tribology, coatings, electrochemical deposition, resin systems and reduction of pollution from internal combustion engines.

There are products companies and there are solutions companies. NMPI is a solutions company.

NMPI products are the result of years of solving industrial problems using our unique nanomaterials and special knowledge of how they interact with other materials. Our off-the-shelf products originated as solutions to customer problems. The problems we solve are common, not esoteric (although we attack those, too). Those same solutions are now available to enterprises globally.

NMPI does more than solve customer problems. NMPI envisions ways to change what is. We are addressing industrial issues of strength, durability, weight, maintenance cost and reliability. Our current research in composites is just one example.

NMPI continues its progress developing strengthened epoxy. A new, independent test laboratory report shows an initial 14.2% increase in "Stress at Peak Load", a 35% increase in "Peak Force at Failure" and standard deviation improvements reduction of 3.4% for peak force and 46.6% for stress (reduced SD means an epoxy based product will perform more consistently to expectations in addition to the improved characteristics).
